The State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) recently released the newly revised "Automobile Recall User Guide (2026 Edition)," which includes a new section titled "Interpretation of Recall News and Announcements" to help vehicle owners better understand recall information. The guide advises owners to verify whether their vehicles are affected by checking their Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), and to pay attention to potential safety risks associated with the defect as well as recommended emergency response measures. Owners are urged to complete recall-related repairs as soon as possible to eliminate safety hazards. Second-hand vehicle owners, who may not receive recall notifications promptly, are encouraged to proactively check for relevant information. Vehicle owners can access detailed recall information via the SAMR Defect Product Recall Center’s official website (www.samrdprc.org.cn) or its WeChat official account (SAMRDPRC), and are encouraged to actively cooperate with recall procedures to ensure driving safety.
