At today's Xiaomi Spring 2026 New Product Launch Event, Xiaomi founder Lei Jun announced that the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra prototype has set a new record for the fastest lap time by an electric vehicle on Germany’s Nürburgring Nordschleife ("Nürburgring North Loop"), securing a spot among the top three on the official Nürburgring All-Time Top Speed Ranking. The current record holder remains the Porsche 919 Hybrid. Lei emphasized that this achievement stems from Xiaomi’s self-developed super motor technology, whose exceptional power output demonstrates Xiaomi’s industry-leading capabilities in electric drive systems.
