On March 21, Dongfeng Nissan officially launched the pre-sale of its first extended-range SUV, the NX8. Built on the Tianyan architecture, the NX8 features new energy family design elements such as a full-width light bar and flush door handles. With an overall length of 4,870 mm and a wheelbase of 2,917 mm, it is positioned as a spacious five-seater, offering more interior room than the X-Trail. Inside, the cabin is equipped with dual 15.6-inch displays and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. Premium amenities include Zero-Pressure Cloud Cushion seats, 133° rear seat recline, 40-point massage functionality, a 25-speaker audio system, and a refrigerated/warmed console-mounted cooler. For intelligent driving, the NX8 is fitted with LiDAR and utilizes Momenta’s solution, supporting highway and urban NOA (Navigate on Autopilot) as well as automated parking. The NX8 will be available in both all-electric and extended-range variants. The extended-range version pairs a 1.5T engine with a 195 kW electric motor, delivering a CLTC pure-electric range of 310 km. The all-electric variant is built on an 800V architecture and supports 5C ultra-fast charging, capable of charging from 10% to 80% in just 12 minutes.
