At its latest "Face-to-Face with Users" event, NIO unveiled the rollout schedule for its fifth-generation battery swap stations: an internal testing station will be activated by the end of March; 5 to 10 pilot stations will launch between May and June for trial operations with users; and large-scale deployment will begin in July–August. As of now, NIO has completed 8.5% of its 2024 target of building 1,000 swap stations. By March, NIO Power had a total of 8,704 charging and swapping stations, including 3,761 battery swap stations (of which 1,025 are located along expressways) and 4,943 charging stations, with access to over 1.57 million third-party charging points. Additionally, NIO plans to build 1,000 new swap stations by 2026 and advance the development of its Silk Road Battery Swap Corridor, expanding its "Scenic Charging Route" beyond the G318 Sichuan-Tibet and Yunnan-Tibet lines.
