On March 20, BorgWarner officially inaugurated and commenced production at its new PowerDrive Systems plant in Wuhu. This facility is a key component of BorgWarner’s strategic expansion in China’s new energy vehicle sector and will primarily supply drive motors for Chery Automobile. Leveraging its globally leading product platforms and core expertise in hairpin motor R&D, process design, and production line development, the Wuhu plant is dedicated to delivering high-quality, technologically advanced motor products. Li Xiaoqiu, Vice President of BorgWarner and President of BorgWarner China, stated that the launch of this new facility not only broadens the company’s footprint in powertrain systems but also underscores its commitment to efficiency and quality. He added that BorgWarner will continue collaborating closely with partners to advance automotive technological innovation and sustainable development.
