On March 23, Yu Chengdong, Executive Director of Huawei, announced that this month Huawei will globally launch the industry’s highest-spec mass-produced 896-line dual-optical-path LiDAR, which will be integrated into multiple new vehicle models, including the Shangjie Z7/Z7T, Wenjie M6/M7/M8, refreshed Xiangjie S9, and Zhijie S7. This LiDAR features Huawei’s proprietary dual-optical-path technology and is equipped with dual laser-receiving units, enabling integrated wide-angle and telephoto imaging. It delivers a single-frame point cloud density seven times that of a standard 128-line LiDAR and achieves a stable detection range of up to 120 meters, effectively handling complex scenarios involving small objects, low-reflectivity surfaces, and irregular obstacles. Additionally, its window utilizes industry-first tempered glass film, offering 25% higher hardness. The relevant vehicle models will be unveiled at Huawei’s Spring All-Scenario New Product Launch Event today at 14:30.
