The 2027 Nissan Z has officially launched in the U.S. market, featuring comprehensive upgrades. Externally, non-Nismo models receive a new front bumper and a split retro-style grille paying homage to classic Datsun designs, while the front Nissan badge is replaced with a “Z” emblem. A new Shinkai Green Pearl Metallic paint option paired with a black roof draws inspiration from the 1970s S30 Z. Performance-wise, the Z Performance trim now features 19-inch forged black wheels and larger-diameter monotube shock absorbers, along with tan interior accents and a 15-watt wireless charging pad equipped with cooling functionality. The flagship Nismo variant debuts with a 6-speed manual transmission for the first time, paired with a retuned 3.0L twin-turbo V6 engine for improved throttle response. It also retains and refines the active sound enhancement and noise cancellation systems. Braking performance is upgraded with front brake rotors shared with the GT-R, while overall vehicle weight is reduced by 19 pounds and steering system friction is lowered by 20%. All trims come standard with an improved fuel tank design to ensure stable fuel delivery during aggressive driving. Deliveries of the new model will begin this summer, with a starting price expected to remain around the current $44,000 level.
