On March 24, Xiaomi Auto announced that the SU7 Max will come standard with a dual-zone smart dimming panoramic roof featuring next-generation electrochromic (EC) glass technology. The roof allows independent adjustment for front and rear passengers, enabling each zone to be set separately to either "clear" or "tinted" mode without interference. It offers faster dimming speeds and smoother transitions, with a light-blocking rate of 99.85% and UV/IR rejection rates both reaching 99.9%—delivering sun protection and heat insulation comparable to physical sunshades, eliminating the need for additional window films or shade curtains. Lei Jun encouraged users to experience this feature firsthand during test drives. This configuration has proven especially popular among customers who prioritize sun protection and comfort, further enhancing the SU7 Max’s competitiveness.
