On March 31, Chery Jaguar Land Rover will officially unveil the first model under its new standalone electrified brand, Freelander. Positioned as a large six-seater plug-in hybrid SUV, the vehicle features a bold, boxy design and is equipped with rectangular pixelated LED headlights, highlighting its strong tech-forward aesthetic. Powering the SUV is likely a plug-in hybrid system combining a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with three electric motors. The model will also debut Huawei’s latest Qiankun Smart Driving solution, CATL’s high-performance batteries, and Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon automotive chip. To date, Freelander has signed agreements for over 60 dealerships across 50 cities nationwide, accelerating its sales and service network expansion.
