GAC Aion officially opened blind pre-orders for its new model, the AION N60, on March 25, positioning it as "the first intelligent-driving car for young people." The vehicle comes standard across all trims with highway navigation-assisted driving, zero-gravity seats (with massage function), and a premium multi-link rear suspension. Optional features include LiDAR and a panoramic sunroof. Measuring 4,615 mm in length, 1,860/1,883 mm in width, and 1,673 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,775 mm, the AION N60 offers a five-seat layout. It is available with two motor options—100 kW and 165 kW—and is powered by GAC’s self-developed Yinpai battery, incorporating amorphous alloy electric drive technology to enhance energy efficiency. The design was led by Benoit Jacob, former BMW designer renowned for his work on iconic models such as the BMW i3, i8, and Audi A5 Sportback.
