The all-new NIO ES9 dual-tone special edition has recently begun uncamouflaged road testing, with real-world photos simultaneously revealed. The vehicle retains NIO’s signature family design language and features a roof-mounted LiDAR sensor, currently undergoing pre-launch promotional photography. According to an MIIT announcement, the ES9 measures 5,365 mm in length, 2,029 mm in width, and 1,870 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,250 mm. It is powered by dual motors (180 kW front + 340 kW rear), delivering a top speed of 220 km/h. Available features include a two-tone paint scheme, 23-inch wide tires, and large-diameter alloy wheels, with a curb weight starting from approximately 2.85 metric tons. NIO announced that it will hold an ES9 technology launch event on April 9, with market availability scheduled for Q2 this year. Additionally, NIO’s “5566 series” (ET5, ET5 Touring, ES6, EC6) will receive minor updates this year, adding the “Blue Light” advanced driver-assistance indicator. The ES6 and EC6 will also offer an optional zero-gravity front seat.
