Recently, an aerial photo showing the Tesla Cybercab parked side by side with the Model Y has drawn attention, offering the first clear visual comparison of the size difference between the two models. The Model Y, a globally popular SUV, measures approximately 4,775 mm in length and 1,920 mm in width. In contrast, the yet-to-be-launched Cybercab is significantly more compact, measuring only about 4,445 mm long and 1,600 mm wide, with a lower, sleeker profile resembling a coupe. Positioned as an autonomous ride-hailing vehicle, the Cybercab features just two seats and eliminates the steering wheel and pedals entirely. It adopts dramatically angled suicide doors, emphasizing urban maneuverability and a minimalist cabin experience. In terms of storage, the Model Y caters to family travel needs, while the Cybercab provides only enough space for luggage on short trips for two passengers. The two vehicles embody starkly different design philosophies: the Model Y prioritizes versatile practicality, whereas the Cybercab focuses on delivering a low-cost, highly efficient autonomous mobility service.
