On March 26, Zeekr responded to user inquiries regarding its Zeekr 8X technology launch event, confirming that the claim—charging from 30% to 80% state of charge within 90 minutes while driving at a constant speed of 120 km/h—is accurate. The vehicle is equipped with a range-extending generator with a peak output of 145 kW, which can efficiently generate electricity during highway cruising and directly power the vehicle, enabling the unique capability of "gaining more electricity the longer it drives." The Zeekr 8X Max and Ultra trims come standard with a 55 kWh battery pack (CLTC-rated all-electric range of 320 km), with an optional 70 kWh battery available. The Ultra+ and Yao Ying trims are standard-equipped with the 70 kWh battery (CLTC-rated all-electric range of 410 km). All variants feature a jointly developed 6C ultra-fast-charging ternary lithium battery from CATL, supporting a 900V high-voltage architecture and achieving a 20%-to-80% charge in just 9 minutes.
