On March 25, the core traction battery for XPeng HT's X3-F "Land Aircraft Carrier" flying car officially rolled off the production line at CALB’s Chengdu facility. This battery is the industry’s first product to simultaneously obtain both automotive regulatory certification and aviation airworthiness certification. It features high-silicon, high-nickel cells with an energy density of 360 Wh/kg, a maximum discharge rate of 25C, and four layers of aerospace-grade safety protection, with thermal safety design compliant with aviation airworthiness standards. Previously, on March 5, XPeng HT had already achieved same-day trial production and rollout of five "Land Aircraft Carrier" aircraft units at its Huangpu factory in Guangzhou, followed by multi-aircraft test flights. The "Land Aircraft Carrier" adopts a modular design: the ground component is a 6×6 all-wheel-drive off-road vehicle, while the aerial component is a two-passenger eVTOL (electric vertical take-off and landing) aircraft. The two modules can automatically dock and separate, enabling seamless integration of daily commuting and low-altitude travel. The vehicle is scheduled for mass production and customer deliveries later this year.
