On March 25, BYD announced that it has cumulatively built 4,990 ultra-fast charging stations nationwide, spanning 292 cities. Through its "Dream Charging Station" initiative, BYD has also delivered 164 dedicated charging stations for 2,379 users. Vehicles equipped with BYD’s second-generation Blade Battery can charge from 10% to 70% in just five minutes and reach 97% in nine minutes. Even in extreme cold conditions as low as -30°C, the battery can charge from 20% to 97% in approximately 12 minutes. The battery has passed rigorous safety tests and comes with a lifetime warranty on the cells. The ultra-fast charging stations feature a world-first suspended cable design, with cables weighing only 2 kilograms—light enough to be carried with one hand—and support plug-and-charge functionality with automatic payment. BYD plans to expand its network to 20,000 ultra-fast charging stations by the end of this year, including over 18,000 “station-within-a-station” units.
