CIMC Vehicles (Jiangmen) Co., Ltd. has recently filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation, initiating a recall effective immediately of 53 units of CIMC-branded concrete mixer trucks produced between June 16, 2021, and December 15, 2022. The recall is due to improper parameter settings of the inter-axle driveshaft on the vehicle chassis. When the vehicle's tandem rear axle encounters a pothole deeper than 190 mm, the driveshaft may tilt and interfere with the balance shaft. In extreme cases, this could lead to driveshaft damage, preventing power transmission from the tandem axle to the rear axle and posing a safety hazard. The company will inspect and repair the affected vehicles as required to eliminate the defect.
