On March 25, the ninth-generation locally produced Audi A6L officially launched in China, with a starting price dropping into the RMB 300,000 range—nearly RMB 100,000 lower than the previous model. Simultaneously, pre-sales began for the A6L e-tron (priced from RMB 313,000 to RMB 443,000), marking Audi’s “price parity between ICE and EV” strategy. Built on the PPC intelligent combustion-engine platform, the new A6L offers 2.0T and 3.0T powertrains alongside HDI hybrid technology, with a wheelbase extended to 3,066 mm and three China-exclusive exterior colors introduced. In terms of intelligence, the vehicle deeply integrates Huawei’s Qiankun Smart Driving system and is equipped with dual LiDAR units, enabling full-scenario driver assistance. The interior prioritizes rear-seat comfort, featuring standard ventilated and massaging seats along with 46 acoustic optimizations for cabin quietness. FAW Audi has clearly shifted toward a “user-centric” approach, countering competition from rising Chinese EV brands like NIO and Li Auto in the core RMB 200,000–500,000 segment through pragmatic pricing, open technological collaboration, and deeper localization—aiming to carry forward the A6L’s 38-year legacy into the era of electric and intelligent mobility.
