Swedish hypercar manufacturer Koenigsegg has announced that production of its first-ever four-seater "Mega-GT," the Gemera, has officially commenced. Initially unveiled in 2020, the long-awaited model is now being assembled on the company’s expanded production line alongside the CC850, with the upcoming Sadar Spear set to join the lineup in the future. Powered by a 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine and three electric motors, the Gemera delivers a combined output of 2,300 horsepower and 2,028 lb-ft of torque, accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in under 2 seconds and reaching a top speed exceeding 200 mph. Its front-axle "Dark Matter" electric motor weighs just 86 pounds, and the entire vehicle utilizes extensive carbon fiber construction for weight reduction. Power is channeled through a nine-speed Light Speed Tourbillon all-wheel-drive transmission. Deliveries to the first 300 reservation holders are imminent.
