GAC Group reported its first annual net loss in 2025, with net profit attributable to shareholders plunging from RMB 8.24 billion in 2024 to a loss of RMB 87.84 billion. Full-year revenue declined by 10.43% year-over-year, falling to RMB 95.662 billion. The company stated that although vehicle sales had shown sequential improvement since the second quarter, intensified industry competition and rapid restructuring of the automotive ecosystem caused full-year sales to fall short of expectations. In response to the dramatic market shifts, GAC significantly increased its sales and marketing expenditures—posting a single-quarter loss of RMB 44.72 billion in Q4 alone, exceeding the combined losses of the first three quarters. Looking ahead, GAC said it will optimize its product portfolio, enhance brand competitiveness, and proactively address industry challenges.
