Koenigsegg's first-ever four-seater hypercar, the Gemera, has officially entered series production. Dubbed a "Mega-GT" by the brand, the Gemera is powered by a 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine combined with three electric motors, delivering a staggering combined output of 2,300 horsepower and peak torque of 2,749 N·m. The front axle features the "Dark Matter" electric motor producing 800 hp, while each of the two rear motors generates 500 hp. The entire electric drivetrain extensively uses carbon fiber to reduce weight—the front motor alone weighs just around 39 kg. Power is sent to all four wheels via a 9-speed "Light Speed Transmission" (LST), enabling the Gemera to accelerate from 0 to 96 km/h in under 2 seconds and reach a top speed exceeding 322 km/h. The Gemera is currently being assembled alongside the CC850, and will soon be joined on the production line by the Saab-derived Spear model, marking Koenigsegg’s entry into a new era of multi-model concurrent production.
