On March 29, Denza—the premium brand under BYD—officially launched the pre-sale of its second-generation D9 MPV. The lineup includes six variants, with pre-sale prices ranging from RMB 389,800 to RMB 489,800. Notably, plug-in hybrid (PHEV) and battery electric vehicle (BEV) versions are priced identically. The new D9 is equipped with BYD’s second-generation Blade Battery, supporting ultra-fast flash charging: it can charge from 10% to 70% in just five minutes, maintaining excellent charging efficiency even in extreme cold conditions. Exterior design features a new π-Motion diamond-cut front fascia and full-width arrow-feather taillights. The vehicle measures 5,250 mm in length, 1,960 mm in width, and 1,900 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,110 mm. Inside, the cabin retains a T-shaped layout, with second-row airline-style seats, foldable tray tables, and dual entertainment screens. All variants come standard with the "Eyes of Zeus" 5.0 intelligent driving system. The PHEV variant delivers over 400 km of pure electric CLTC range and a fuel consumption of just 6.35 L/100 km under low-battery conditions. The BEV version offers either 750 km or 800 km of CLTC range. Customers who place pre-orders will receive 18 months of complimentary flash charging privileges. Deliveries to dealerships will begin progressively in April.
