Changan Automobile recently announced it has obtained a self-developed L4-level Robotaxi testing license in Chongqing, officially entering China's high-level autonomous driving mobility service arena. Its self-developed Robotaxi will be equipped with the "Tianshu Intelligent Solution," focusing on core technologies such as end-to-end interactive navigation assistance, multimodal AI large models, and drive-by-wire chassis systems. The vehicle supports independent four-wheel control, 10-millisecond-level response times, and blowout stability control. Previously, in December 2023, Changan secured China’s first official L3-level autonomous driving license plate (Yu AD0001Z), with its Deepal SL03 becoming one of the first approved models. This new L4 testing license marks Changan’s progression in autonomous driving—from compliant L3 commercialization to advanced technical validation and real-world application. Currently, companies including Baidu, XPeng, and Didi are also actively advancing their Robotaxi operations.
