Tesla has officially launched the TERAFAB project, which is expected to deliver over 1 terawatt (1 TW) of computing power annually, primarily to support the manufacturing of high-performance chips required for its humanoid robots. CEO Elon Musk forecasts that annual production in the humanoid robotics industry could reach between 1 billion and 10 billion units in the future. As large-scale adoption accelerates, demand for advanced chips will continue to rise. TERAFAB will serve as a critical infrastructure pillar for Tesla’s robotics strategy.
