On March 24, the third annual "Golden Wheel Awards"—a prestigious recognition event for tire distributors—was successfully held in Qingdao, gathering over 100 participants from across the industry chain, including upstream and downstream enterprises, distributors, experts, and media representatives. This year’s online voting attracted more than 176,000 votes, reflecting strong market attention to and confidence in Chinese tire brands. CCTV-1’s “Great Nation Brands” program served as the event’s guiding organization, emphasizing that brand building is key to driving industrial upgrading. Professor Yang Weimin from Beijing University of Chemical Technology shared cutting-edge research achievements, including electromagnetic vulcanization technology for intelligent tire manufacturing. Fifty award-winning products were unveiled at the ceremony, spanning categories such as Tire of the Year, Outstanding Tires, and Recommended Tires. Chen Ping, founder of Cheyuan Chezhe, noted that the industry has entered an “elimination round,” where only those committed to quality and innovation will prevail. He also announced the launch of public testing for China’s new national standards and winter tires, along with the establishment of a Middle East workstation. A roundtable forum focused on strategies for breaking through current industry challenges, while Jiushi Intelligence showcased its L4 autonomous driving solutions, demonstrating how they reduce costs and improve efficiency in tire logistics.
