Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation submitted a recall application to Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) on March 30, affecting 34,092 heavy-duty trucks produced between April 2021 and February 2026. The recall stems from a software defect in the system controlling the exhaust after-treatment device, which could prevent the onboard monitoring system from properly displaying warning messages when the device malfunctions. To date, the MLIT has not received any reports of related failures or accidents. Mitsubishi Fuso will address the issue through a software update.
