SAIC Volkswagen officially launched the pre-sale of its new large intelligent electric SUV, the ID. ERA 9X, on March 30. The model is offered in three all-wheel-drive variants, with pre-sale prices ranging from RMB 329,800 to RMB 379,800, and will officially debut on April 25. The ID. ERA 9X is powered by the EA211 "Golden Range Extender" paired with a 65.2 kWh battery pack, delivering over 400 km of pure electric CLTC range and a combined driving range exceeding 1,600 km. Measuring 5,207 mm long, 1,997 mm wide, and 1,810 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 3,070 mm, the vehicle features a six-seat layout. It includes a "Queen’s Co-Pilot" seat, executive-grade second-row seating, and—making its debut—the Dynamic Zero-Gravity Seats equipped with 12L seat cushion air chambers. The intelligent cabin integrates a 15.6-inch dual-screen setup and a 21.4-inch ceiling-mounted rear entertainment screen. It also comes equipped with the Xingyun intelligent driving assistance system and a dual-chamber air suspension system offering 150 mm of adjustable travel, delivering top-tier technology and comfort.
