SAIC Volkswagen officially launched the pre-sale of its all-new "German-engineered flagship SUV," the ID. ERA 9X, in Shenzhen on March 30. The three all-wheel-drive variants are priced at RMB 329,800, RMB 359,800, and RMB 379,800 respectively. The ID. ERA 9X comes fully equipped across all trims with premium features such as dynamic zero-gravity seats for the front passenger and second row, active rear-wheel steering, and lifetime access to the Xingyun intelligent driving assistance system—delivering a “luxury-from-entry” experience. Powered by an EA211 range extender and a 65.2 kWh CATL battery pack, the vehicle achieves a CLTC combined range of 1,651 km and a remarkably low fuel consumption of just 4.57 L per 100 km. It also supports 800V ultra-fast charging. On the intelligence front, the ID. ERA 9X debuts the Momenta R7 reinforcement learning model paired with a 192-line LiDAR, enabling end-to-end parking-to-parking full-scenario driver assistance. Additionally, the ID. ERA 9X has partnered with the Star Wars IP for a cross-over collaboration and is launching pop-up experiential events nationwide.
