U.S.-based restomod firm Kindred has announced that deliveries of its electric-powered Porsche 911 G-Series (model years 1974–1989) will commence in the first quarter of 2027. Each vehicle will be fully restored and limited to just 12 units. The car features Kindred’s proprietary Grayback electric powertrain, with a rear-mounted motor producing 375 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. It is equipped with a 62.2 kWh battery pack, offering an estimated range of approximately 225 miles and a 40/60 front-to-rear weight distribution. Interior upgrades include Nappa leather upholstery, wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, heated seats, MagSafe wireless charging, and a modernized climate control system. According to the company, the EV delivers sharper handling and power delivery that stays true to the original car’s character. Pricing starts at $299,000, with full details on color options and available configurations to be revealed in August.
