A 1979 Ferrari 308 GTS that appeared in the pilot episode of the classic American TV series *Magnum, P.I.* will be offered at no reserve during the Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach auction in mid-April. The car comes with official documentation and certification from a Ferrari historian confirming its role in filming Season 1 of the show, including specially modified seats to accommodate star Tom Selleck’s tall frame. Powered by a 2.9-liter quad-cam V8 engine equipped with four-barrel Weber carburetors producing 230 horsepower, it features a five-speed manual transmission, limited-slip differential, and four-wheel disc brakes. Finished in classic Rosso Corsa red with a Creama beige interior, the vehicle is equipped with air conditioning, power windows, pop-up headlights, and a removable targa top. Another 308 GTS used in the series previously sold for over $100,000.
