Changan Automobile has recently been officially granted an L4-level Robotaxi testing license, becoming the first automaker to receive full compliance and full-scenario L4 autonomous driving testing authorization in Yongchuan District, Chongqing—a pilot zone for intelligent connected vehicle policies. The license was unanimously approved by a joint review panel comprising six departments of Yongchuan District, marking Changan’s eligibility to conduct high-level autonomous driving tests on real-world roads and accelerating the deployment and commercialization of its Robotaxi technology.
