According to data from Singapore’s Land Transport Authority, BYD sold a total of 11,184 passenger vehicles in Singapore in 2025, an 80.6% year-on-year increase, securing the top spot across all brands for the second consecutive year. Since entering the local market in 2022, BYD reached the number-one position in just two years, significantly accelerating Singapore’s transition toward electrification. BYD also leads in the commercial vehicle segment: its electric buses, introduced in 2018, now hold over 60% market share and have been selected for Singapore’s first Level 4 autonomous bus pilot program. From 2021 to 2025, BYD registered a cumulative total of 1,450 all-electric trucks—the highest in the market. On March 26, BYD launched its new all-electric light-duty truck, the T35, in Singapore, priced at approximately SGD 143,000, offering flexible solutions tailored for narrow-road logistics needs. Today, BYD supports Singapore’s goal of achieving a fully clean-energy vehicle fleet by 2040 through its comprehensive electric mobility solutions spanning both passenger and commercial vehicles.
