On March 31, Xiaomi’s high-performance SUV, the YU7 GT, made its debut on Germany’s Nürburgring Nordschleife in fully uncamouflaged form. Sporting a striking red paint job with exclusive GT decals, the vehicle features an aggressively styled design. It is powered by a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system delivering a combined output of 738 kW (approximately 1,003 horsepower) and a top speed of 300 km/h, positioning it as a “1,000-horsepower performance beast.” Having undergone multiple test runs at the Nürburgring previously, this uncamouflaged appearance signals Xiaomi’s intent to challenge for the title of “fastest SUV on the Nürburgring.” The current leaderboard is dominated by the Audi RS Q8 (7:36.6) and the Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT. Industry insiders predict that if the Xiaomi YU7 GT can achieve a lap time under 7:35—or even approach 7:30—it would completely reshape the SUV lap time rankings. The official result is yet to be announced.
