At its spring launch event on March 31, FAW-Volkswagen announced that the all-new Tayron LPHEV midsize SUV will officially debut in the second quarter of this year. The new model offers two exterior design styles, featuring IQ.Light headlights, a full-width light bar, and a large front grille. It measures 4,695 mm in length, 1,866 mm in width, and 1,678 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,791 mm. Inside, the vehicle is equipped with a 15-inch central touchscreen and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. It is available in either a five-seat or seven-seat configuration, and the front seats offer heating, ventilation, and massage functions. Powering the Tayron LPHEV is a plug-in hybrid system combining a 1.5T engine with an electric motor, delivering a combined maximum output of 268 horsepower. It is paired with a 19.7 kWh battery, offering an all-electric range of 100 km and a total combined driving range of 850 km. The vehicle also comes equipped with the Zhuoyu integrated enhanced driver assistance system for driving and parking.
