British marque Lola Cars—renowned for crafting multiple legendary race cars and securing three Indianapolis 500 victories—relaunched in 2022 after ceasing operations in 2012, announcing a re-creation of one of its most iconic models: the T70. Two versions will be offered: the track-focused T70S and the road-legal T70S GT, with global production strictly limited to just 16 units. The road-going T70S GT is powered by a 6.2-liter Chevrolet V8 engine producing 500 horsepower, accelerating from 0–60 mph in just 2.9 seconds and reaching a top speed of 200 mph. It features amenities such as air conditioning, storage space, and a dedicated gearbox. The track-only T70S, meanwhile, uses a 5.0-liter V8 engine delivering 530 horsepower, achieving 0–60 mph in 2.5 seconds and a top speed of 203 mph. It also comes with FIA Historic Technical Passport certification, making it eligible for official historic racing events. Both new models are meticulously re-engineered from original blueprints, incorporating sustainable materials and advanced manufacturing techniques—honoring the classic heritage while integrating modern technology.
