On April 1, Tesla announced that the Model 3 is celebrating its 10th anniversary since launch. Since its U.S. debut in April 2016, global cumulative sales of the Model 3 have exceeded 3 million units, making it the highest-rated all-electric midsize sedan in terms of customer satisfaction among Chinese users. The Model 3 officially entered the Chinese market in February 2019 and launched a refreshed version in 2023, with initial deliveries supplied by Giga Shanghai. Tesla also revealed that, as of May 2025, over 95% of the components for each Model 3 and the refreshed Model Y are locally produced in China. Currently available Model 3 variants include the Rear-Wheel Drive version (RMB 235,500), Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive (RMB 259,500), Long Range All-Wheel Drive (RMB 285,500), and Performance All-Wheel Drive (RMB 339,500).
