Subaru has unveiled the 2027 Forester Wilderness Hybrid, continuing the rugged off-road styling of the Wilderness series while enhancing fuel efficiency and performance. Equipped with a hybrid powertrain, the new model delivers 25% better fuel economy than the standard Wilderness variant, with estimated EPA ratings of 31 mpg in the city and 35 mpg on the highway. The hybrid system produces a combined output of 194 horsepower—up from 180 hp in the non-hybrid version—and features improved low-end torque for enhanced off-road capability. Key exterior features include 9.3 inches of ground clearance, 17-inch all-terrain tires, reinforced roof rails, and signature copper-colored accents. Inside, upgrades consist of an 11.6-inch infotainment display, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, water-resistant StarTex seats, and a Harman Kardon premium audio system. The 2027 Forester Wilderness Hybrid is scheduled to arrive in dealerships by the end of 2026, with pricing yet to be announced.
