Changan Automobile reported impressive sales performance in March, delivering 270,600 vehicles—a substantial 78% month-over-month increase. Of this total, new energy vehicle (NEV) sales reached 89,600 units, surging 112% compared to February. Meanwhile, overseas sales surpassed the 100,000-unit mark for the first time, reaching 103,900 units. Breaking down by brand, Changan Qiyuan and Deepal sold 36,875 and 31,742 units respectively, maintaining their strong growth momentum. The Changan Gravity series (including models like the CS75) recorded sales of 103,900 units, stabilizing its core internal combustion engine business. However, Avatr, Changan’s premium brand, sold only 5,143 units—a stark contrast to its price range of RMB 300,000–400,000 and significant resource investments—highlighting the challenges Changan faces in breaking through to higher-end market segments.
