On April 2, BYD Ocean Network officially launched two new models—the 2026 Seagull 06 GT and the Seagull 06 DM-i Touring Edition—further enriching its new energy vehicle portfolio. The Seagull 06 GT is priced between RMB 128,900 and RMB 169,900, while the more affordably positioned Seagull 06 DM-i Touring Edition enters the market at a price range of RMB 111,900 to RMB 139,900. As a pure-electric performance coupe, the 2026 Seagull 06 GT features BYD’s latest flash charging technology and second-generation Blade Battery, delivering a maximum CLTC-rated range of up to 620 km on a single charge. Powered by an electric motor with a peak output of 240 kW, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.5 seconds. The chassis has been upgraded with the Cloud Ride-C intelligent damping body control system and adds a High-Speed Blowout Stability Control system (enabling stable driving at speeds up to 140 km/h), along with road preview functionality to enhance ride comfort and safety. In terms of intelligent features, the vehicle is equipped with the “God’s Eye B ADAS Laser Edition” (DiPilot-300), supporting urban navigation assist, highway navigation assist, and full-scenario automatic parking. The cabin integrates the DiLink 150 intelligent system for smooth and feature-rich operation. For enhanced comfort, the driver’s seat now offers 8-way power adjustment and 4-way lumbar support. Storage includes a 66L front trunk, complemented by 127-color ambient lighting, an onboard refrigerator, a 12-speaker Dynaudio sound system, and VTOL mobile power station functionality to meet diverse travel needs. New exterior colors include Mirror Sea Silver and Porcia Pink, while interior options now feature a Twilight Purple/Warm White dual-tone scheme. The other new model, the Seagull 06 DM-i Touring Edition, marks BYD’s first plug-in hybrid vehicle with a CLTC pure-electric range of 300 km, offered in both 200 km and 300 km variants. It utilizes a PHEV-specific high-power Blade Battery that can charge from 30% to 80% in just 20 minutes. Under NEDC conditions, its fuel consumption in low-battery mode drops as low as 3.15 L/100 km, balancing long-range capability with exceptional efficiency. This model also introduces four new scenario modes: Baby Mode, Car Wash Mode, Nap Mode, and Camping Mode, enhancing everyday convenience. Standard features include W-HUD head-up display and road preview functionality. The safety-assist suite offers an optional “God’s Eye B ADAS Laser Edition” (DiPilot 300) and supports the God’s Eye 5.0 system, alongside newly added driver fatigue monitoring, E-CALL emergency rescue, and I-CALL 24/7 smart customer service. Exterior color options now include Extreme Tide Green and Obsidian Black, while the cabin debuts an all-new Twilight Blue interior theme. The launch of these two new models not only strengthens BYD’s presence in the mid-tier new energy vehicle market but also addresses consumers’ diverse demands for performance, range, intelligence, and practicality through differentiated positioning.
