Kaiyi Auto has officially opened pre-orders for its new all-electric compact car, the Shi Yue Max. Dubbed by the company as a “long-range commuter EV in the RMB 40,000 segment,” customers can secure a blind pre-order with just a refundable deposit of RMB 9 and receive priority delivery rights. The Shi Yue Max carries forward the Kaiyi Shi Yue family’s rounded design language, featuring an overall stylish and cute appearance. Measuring 3,725 mm in length and 1,700 mm in width, with a wheelbase of 2,520 mm, the vehicle adopts a practical five-door layout, catering well to both urban commuting and everyday family needs. It offers a standard trunk capacity of 237 liters, expandable up to 960 liters when the rear seats are folded down, delivering impressive cargo versatility. Inside, the cabin is equipped with an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.8-inch central touchscreen infotainment system. The setup supports voice control, wireless Apple CarPlay, and Huawei HiCar connectivity, offering a rich smart experience.
