Subaru has officially unveiled its all-new all-electric SUV—the 2027 Getaway—co-developed with Toyota and specifically targeting family-oriented customers. The vehicle features a three-row seating layout, offering spacious seven-passenger capacity, and is equipped with an all-wheel-drive system delivering a combined output of 420 horsepower. Subaru states that the Getaway aims for a target range exceeding 300 miles (approximately 483 kilometers), sufficiently meeting the demands of daily commuting and long-distance travel. As a key component of Subaru’s electrification strategy, the Getaway integrates Subaru’s signature symmetrical all-wheel-drive technology with Toyota’s expertise in electric vehicle platforms. Scheduled to launch in late 2026, the Getaway will become the brand’s first mass-produced three-row electric vehicle, further expanding Subaru’s EV lineup in North America and global markets.
