GAC Group Q1 2026 Sales Rise 2.38% YoY, with Strong Performance from Own Brands and Overseas Markets

GAC Group released its production and sales data for March 2026, showing that cumulative sales in the first quarter of this year reached nearly 380,000 units, an increase of 2.38% year-over-year. In March alone, sales totaled 176,900 units, up 1.68% year-over-year and surging 104.57% month-over-month. For GAC’s self-owned brands, cumulative sales in Q1 reached 166,200 units, a 42% year-over-year increase, with March sales totaling 81,405 units. Specifically, GAC Trumpchi sold 40,672 vehicles in March, up 25.28% year-over-year, and reported a 33.06% year-over-year increase in Q1 cumulative sales. GAC Aion achieved March sales of 40,733 units, rising 65.21% year-over-year, with Q1 cumulative sales up 57.34% year-over-year. Among joint ventures, GAC Toyota sold 68,800 vehicles in March, a 65.78% month-over-month increase, and posted a 6.99% year-over-year growth in Q1 cumulative sales. GAC Honda sold 26,283 units in March, up 185.07% month-over-month. In overseas markets, GAC’s self-owned brands recorded cumulative overseas sales of 42,165 units in Q1, a 86% year-over-year increase. March overseas sales reached 17,031 units, also up 86% year-over-year. Notably, sales in Hong Kong exceeded 2,000 units in March. GAC Group aims to achieve 250,000 overseas sales for its self-owned brands in 2026. Additionally, in April, GAC Group officially entered Ethiopia’s new energy vehicle market, launching four models locally: the Aion UT, Aion V HOME, Hyper HT, and Hyper HL.
