The BYD Song Ultra EV recently launched, racking up 37,216 orders in its first week. The new model is available in four variants, priced between RMB 151,900 and RMB 179,900. All variants are equipped with BYD’s second-generation Blade Battery and flash charging technology, delivering a maximum CLTC-rated range of 710 km. The vehicle features BYD’s signature design language and comes in six exterior color options. It measures 4,850 mm in length, 1,910 mm in width, and 1,670 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,840 mm. An optional LiDAR system is available, and the car is outfitted with 27 sensors in total. The interior adopts a clean, youthful aesthetic and offers two color schemes. Standard across all trims are over 20 features, including a 15.6-inch central touchscreen, four-zone voice interaction, and wireless smartphone charging. Additional highlights include a tap-to-open front trunk, a “Queen’s Seat” for the front passenger, and ventilated, heated, and massaging functions for the front seats. Under the hood, the Song Ultra EV is powered by a single motor producing a maximum output of 270 kW, enabling a top speed of 210 km/h. Chassis-wise, all variants come standard with BYD’s Yunyang-C intelligent damping body control system, a front MacPherson and rear five-link independent suspension setup, and the TBC high-speed blowout stability control system.
