The all-electric AMG GT four-door has completed winter testing in Northern Europe and is steadily approaching its market launch. The new model will be equipped with three axial-flux electric motors, offered in both rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations, and feature a dynamic control system with three modes: Response, Agility, and Traction. In Response mode, motor output is adjusted based on throttle input and selected drive mode. Agility mode dynamically modulates torque distribution in real time to simulate changes in wheelbase effect, enabling transitions between mild understeer and controllable oversteer—granting the car drift capability. The Traction Control system offers nine adjustable levels, continuing the tuning philosophy established by the AMG GT R and GT Black Series. The braking system combines front carbon-ceramic discs with rear steel discs. The suspension setup includes adaptive air springs, semi-active anti-roll bars, and adjustable dampers, balancing everyday comfort with robust support during aggressive driving. The battery features a direct-cooling design, with each cell immersed in a non-conductive oil to maintain optimal operating temperatures across diverse environmental conditions—ensuring consistent performance on race tracks, snow-covered roads, or desert terrain. Mercedes-AMG has not yet revealed the final exterior design or complete powertrain specifications; further details are expected in the coming weeks. With the current combustion-engine AMG GT priced between $102,000 and $200,500, the all-electric variant is anticipated to carry a higher price tag.
