The GAC Aion AION RT battery-swap version will officially launch on April 8 at 19:00, featuring a "99-second ultra-fast battery swap" experience powered by CATL's Choco Swap technology. Positioned as a family-oriented sedan, the model received a refreshed update in September 2025 and is available in four variants, with an official price range of RMB 99,800 to RMB 123,800 (approximately USD 13,800–17,100). After comprehensive subsidies, prices start from RMB 85,800 to RMB 109,800 (approximately USD 11,800–15,100). Additionally, the Aion UT Super—co-developed by GAC Aion, CATL, and JD.com—was launched in November 2025, targeting the sub-RMB 100,000 segment. It features a dual-energy replenishment system supporting both charging and battery swapping. Under the battery-as-a-service (BaaS) model, the vehicle starts at RMB 49,900, while the full-vehicle purchase price is RMB 89,900. GAC Aion plans to build over 3,000 battery swap stations across more than 140 cities by 2026, while simultaneously expanding its highway-based battery swap network. Its long-term goal is to deploy 30,000 swap stations nationwide and introduce a franchise model to accelerate infrastructure rollout.
