GAC Aion RT Battery-Swap Version Launches April 8, Supports 99-Second Battery Swap

The GAC Aion RT battery-swap version will officially launch on April 8, featuring a battery swap time of just 99 seconds. The vehicle will be compatible with CATL's "Choco Swap" battery swap stations. Currently, four variants of the Aion RT are available, priced between RMB 99,800 and RMB 123,800. All models come standard with a CATL 68.1 kWh battery pack, delivering a maximum range of 650 kilometers. As of the end of 2025, the 1,000th Choco Swap station has been built. The company plans to expand its network to over 3,000 stations across more than 140 cities by 2026, while simultaneously advancing the development of battery swap infrastructure along expressways. Its long-term goal is to establish a total of 30,000 swap stations nationwide and introduce a franchise model to broaden service coverage.
