Spy shots of the production-ready smart #6 EHD have been revealed, showcasing available exterior color options including matte gray and blue. According to the official statement, this model is smart’s first luxury hatchback sedan specifically developed for the Chinese market and also the brand’s largest vehicle to date. The car will make its global debut at the Beijing International Automotive Exhibition, which opens on April 22, 2026, and is scheduled to launch in the Chinese market in mid-2026. The vehicle measures 4,906 mm in length, 1,922 mm in width, and 1,508 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,926 mm. It is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged plug-in hybrid system, featuring an engine that delivers a maximum output of 120 kW, paired with a dedicated three-speed DHT hybrid transmission. According to filings submitted to China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the car will be offered with two battery pack options—20 kWh and 41.46 kWh—providing all-electric ranges of 110 km and 234 km, respectively (test cycle not specified).
