According to retail sales data for January and February released by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA), the internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicle market still demonstrates considerable vitality. Among the top 20 best-selling ICE models, ten have recorded cumulative sales exceeding 30,000 units. The Geely Boyue L led the rankings with sales of 53,539 units. The Volkswagen Lavida and Sagitar followed in second and third place with 39,592 and 39,119 units respectively. The Passat ranked fourth with 34,787 units sold, while the Xingyue L came fifth with 33,959 units. The Tiguan L secured sixth place with 33,807 units, and the Nissan Sylphy ranked seventh with 33,207 units. The Geely Xingrui took eighth place with 31,438 units, followed by the Toyota Frontlander and Volkswagen Magotan in ninth and tenth places with 30,672 and 30,538 units respectively. Other models in the top 20 include the Chery Tiggo 8, Honda CR-V, Changan CS75 PLUS, Toyota Camry, Volkswagen Tayron, Corolla Cross, Geely Emgrand, Changan Eado, Chery Arrizo 8, and BMW 3 Series. While these models each maintain distinct market advantages, they all generally face mounting competitive pressure from new energy vehicles.
