Spy photos of Avatr's new flagship SUV have recently surfaced. Internally codenamed G618, the vehicle is built on the SDA Central Ring Network architecture, targets the premium million-yuan price segment, features a 2+2+2 six-seat layout, and is scheduled for an official launch later this year. The test mule in the spy shots wears heavy camouflage, yet certain design details are already discernible. The hood is notably long, extending nearly to the front bumper—a clear departure from current Avatr models—and is expected to adopt the design language of the Avatr VISION XPECTRA concept car. The prototype lacks a roof-mounted LiDAR unit, suggesting it may be an early-stage test version. The side profile reveals large multi-spoke wheels and flush door handles, with relatively squared-off window lines lending the vehicle a composed, substantial stance. The rear end appears more rounded, and the taillights are likely to feature a flattened design, though it remains unclear whether they will be connected in a full-width light bar. Powertrain options will include both all-electric and range-extended variants. The pure electric version is projected to deliver a CLTC-rated range of up to 800 kilometers, while the range-extended model could achieve a combined range of approximately 1,200 kilometers.
