McLaren plans to unveil its future product roadmap this summer following its merger with startup Forseven. The newly merged company is led by Forseven CEO Nick Collins and backed by CYVN Holdings, Abu Dhabi’s sovereign wealth fund, which completed its acquisition of McLaren a year ago and has since injected approximately £1.5 billion. According to the plan, McLaren will launch multiple new models by 2030, all powered by internal combustion engines. Collins stated that the decision to develop electric vehicles will depend on customer demand, noting that there is currently no clear market demand for EVs. Although the strategy was originally scheduled to be announced by the end of 2025, it has been postponed due to strategic adjustments and will now be gradually disclosed starting this summer. The announcement is expected to coincide with the delivery of the new flagship hypercar, the W1—the successor to the P1. This summer, McLaren will not showcase production-ready vehicles but will instead reveal preview models embodying its new design language. Full-scale models of all vehicles planned for launch by 2030 have already been presented to dealers.
