On April 8, GAC Trumpchi launched the 2026 Trumpchi M8 2.0T Deluxe Edition, with an official manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) of RMB 189,800 and a post-government-and-enterprise-subsidy price of RMB 169,800. Positioned as a mid-to-large-size MPV, this new variant joins the existing HEV Noble Edition (RMB 219,800) and HEV Supreme Edition (RMB 239,800) to form a comprehensive product lineup. The new model retains the same dimensions as the current version, measuring 5,212 mm in length, 1,893 mm in width, and 1,823 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,070 mm. Its exterior design carries over from the existing model. Inside, it introduces a new light-colored interior theme named "Misty Horizon" and a two-tone steering wheel. The center console features wood-grain trim, while chrome accents are finished with a gunmetal-gray plating process. Standard equipment across all trims includes a power tailgate, dual-side power sliding doors, a segmented panoramic sunroof, a 14.6-inch central touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and second-row seats with electric adjustment, heating, ventilation, and massage functions. In terms of smart connectivity, the vehicle now adds Huawei Cloud Desktop, supports both Apple CarPlay and Baidu CarLife, and comes equipped with a 50W wireless fast charger for front passengers and foldable rear-seat tray tables. The advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) now includes seven Level 2 features, such as Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), and Lane Keeping Assist (LKA). Under the hood, the 2.0T Deluxe Edition is powered by a high-output 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline direct injection (TGDI) engine producing 252 horsepower and 400 N·m of peak torque, mated to an Aisin 8-speed automatic transmission. It also features AVDC (Advanced Vehicle Dynamics Control)—dubbed "Shadow Driver"—and an ESP electronic stability program. The hybrid variants, meanwhile, combine a dedicated 2.0TM hybrid engine with an electric motor, paired with a 2-speed DHT transmission.
